Replacement poles for rab tent?

Heey, so I own a Latok Summit tent from rab and while working wildland fire I lost the poles. It was dark out when we moved and I didn’t double check i packed everything. I’m pretty bummed out, but that’s how it goes sometimes.

I sent an email to rab asking about purchasing replacement poles but haven’t heard back. Does anyone have recommendations for other replacement solutions? I’m down for anything that might work.

Maybe TentPole Technologies could help?

I don't see any replacement tent poles in the warehouse, so it's not a item in the system or anything. But it's also weird that no one has gotten back to you about a repair/replacement, as that stuff is done in-house as well. I don't know if you're using the general contact form or what, but this one may go to the specific dude in charge of the repairs,

At the very least, someone should be able to get the length of the poles, so you can get replacements from a third party.

I might try contacting Rab directly- in the UK. Often the actual manufacturer is more responsive than a distributor.

If I get a chance I'll see if there's a tent in stock and at least measure the pole length for ya tomorrow.

When I was in that position with my BD first light tent, BD was quick with replacement poles. FYI the first light poles are 134 1/2”. Alternatively if your poles don’t need any specific end, just buy a longer one and cut to length. Good luck

Quest outfitters sells Easton tent pole segments (and all the doodads for finishing the ends, hubs, etc). It’s a very easy project to assemble your own poles if you can figure out the length/diameter you need.

Here's what I measured today:

There are two poles, and each are made of 7 different sections. The two end sections are ~38cm long, and the 5 middle sections are ~45cm long. The overlap is ~3cm to stick the poles into each other (if that matters) - not a part of the measurement I'm reporting above

Full length is ~301 cm.

I hope that helps.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
