La sportiva tc pros are $200-220 for us in US. That now equates to 200-220 euros. They are 174 euros on La sportivas global site and 134 euros on banana fingers? Don’t say “ iTs BeCaUsE of sHiPpiNg”

Are companies charging Americans more?

Ropes and Shoes are cheaper in Europe, that simple.

You have cheaper hardwear though so enjoy that.

Edit: you also in general earn more than people in Europe, especially relative to current usd-eur-gbp prices.

I'm guessin American retailers sign a contract with La Sportiva NA that outlines minimum advertised price policies. They usually allowed a few sale events a year within the contract. Retailers can sell for whatever price they would like in their store, but can't have any advertised price lower than the contract stipulates.

America has a MAP policy to enforce. E.U does not have a MAP policy. Remember if you buy from these sites warranty can be difficult to claim and you're not supporting American companies.

Not only does EU not have a MAP policy, it's effectively illegal there.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
