Hi all,

For those of you who wear/wore old brown TC Pros, and have gotten New green TC Pros........what, if any, sizing difference have you experienced....or hear people describe?

Have you needed to size up or down to the New Model, or did you need the same size?

Thanks in advanced!!

Thanks "that guy" for the links!

They talked a little about sizing differences, but more on design differences, thanks again!

.........   anyone else have any SIZING comparisons from the Old TC Pros and the New TC Pros?

Thanks again!!!

Dude from LS told me same sizing.

Tons of people on the other thread talking about before and after sizing.

I feel like the new ones are a quarter to a half size larger.

I settled on the same size old/new after trying half sizes up and down. The length feels the same, but the new ones feel narrower so I have to lace them much looser.

I think I agree with Max, above. I never seriously considered TC Pros before as the sizing only went up to 46 and it was extremely painful to try to squeeze my (size 13 or 13 1/2) foot into them. When the new version came out, on a whim, I tried on a 46 and it actually seemed like it might work so I bought them. After 20 pitches or so, they still haven’t broken in to be all day comfortable, but they work for shorter climbs, say 2-4 pitches. So, I do think they might be a bit bigger in this new iteration. Or… it just might have been simple product variability between individual pairs of the new TCs. So, who knows? (Maybe consider trying on different pairs of the same size to find out.)

just my 0.2cents here.. i've bought a 43.5 old gen TCP and could barely use it for 20min. it crushed my feet and it would go numb in no time. My feeling is that seem to put pressure on the sides, like it was too narrow. Ended up selling those. Tried again and bought a 42.5 New gen and its the best shoe ever. Way more confortable, i can use it for half a day before hurting a bit.

my toes are almost curled on the NG 42.5 and was 100% flat with a bit of empty space on the OG 43.5 so maybe, its a change of fit/width instead of proper lenght? idk, just my perception.

ps:

I went down half a size for a very similar fit to my older pairs.

I thought the new ones were tighter out of the box but they’ve broken in fine and seem to fit the same now at the same size I always get.

There doesn’t seem to be much consensus here, lol!

I went with the same size I always wore in the old version, 45.5.  When I got my new shoes, they slipped right on and were a very comfortable fit right out of the box, not what I expected.  I agree with everyone who is saying the new version fits about half a size larger.  I figured the shoes would end up feeling too loose and sloppy, but I have been happy with how they climb.  Even with a little extra length in the toes, I feel like they are performing well so far ( ~3 months of use)

I had to move up 1/2 size on the new generation TC Pros as they felt too narrow and seemed a tiny bit shorter - picture below shoes old ones are wider though that may have been from breaking in. The new ones seem to have slightly more robust rubber around the front and so I wonder if that makes them tighter there and maybe less likely to stretch out - time will tell. And I'm if the new ones actually stretch out a bit as they will be better for long routes in hot weather. Also had my old ones resoled with Unparallel RH rubber - waiting for them to come back and very curious how that rubber compares..  UPDATE: after a few hours of indoor wearing and a day at the crag they feel much better, still snug but nothing like at first -so they will probably be great hot weather, multipitch shoes.
