I drive by the shop all the time and noticed this posted on the door 8/23/22. I just hope Steve is feeling better and wanted to wholeheartedly express love and concern for this legend. |

Steve is a good man. I have always enjoyed talking with him. He has continued to do excellent work. |

Steve's an old friend of mine. Lived at his place in Boulder, worked woith him mat Gerry's, did a lot of climbing with him. I left Boulder & guided for Exum for 10 years. Sent him worn-out boots many times. His general comment: "These are pieces of junk. Get new ones!" Especially good friend. Hope he's ok. My love, regards, & hopeful wishes.

Steve's a legend. Get better soon! |

Steve has been doing well. He’s been back at work since February, although he doesn’t have as much energy and can’t get as much done as he used to. I need to go pick up a pair that he recently finished for me. |

Will, Steve and George, thanks for commenting on this fellas! I was overjoyed to see him up and at 'em earlier this year to pick up shoes. Still the best resole around; attention to detail, remarkable craftsmanship. I'm just so happy he's with us! Please come have a beer with me if you're ever up in Estes! |

Will Bassettwrote: Will — Jay Mather and I visited you in Wilson, March 1973. You and he did some Bluegrass jamming. Alice took Jay and me on a great powder run from the pass down to town, on skinny skis. For laughs, we went to the “Ka-boy” Bar. And I led Jay up Raven Crack at Blacktail: no pro and lots of snow. It was a fun week! |
