Wearing down while running seems like a bad idea. The moisture your body will generate from exertion will slowly wet out the down and make it clump. I would recommend a lighter synthetic jacket, what the industry is calling 'active insulation' these days. The Rab Xenair Light, Arcteryx Atom SL, or something along those lines would be better.
Just bought one and it's really nice. You probably could use it for running. There's no insulation on the sides under the armpits so you can vent, and the down is hydrophobic. Long-term, I don't think it'll be ideal for the reasons Dallin mentioned and you're better off getting a synthetic. Same for the mythic collection, for which I believe the alpine light is meant to be a Kaon successor
Oops, for prosperity’s sake I want to clarify that I was not planning on running while wearing it. Only using it while stopped. The lack of insulation under the arms seemed ideal for letting the pits dry and dumping excess heat while still insulating while stopped. Kaon is now discontinued in favor of the alpine light. The alpine light seems nice but not as innovative.
