No Edge Resole?

How do you guys know when your no edge shoe (La Sportiva futura, genius, mantra)  is ready to resoled? Wear until you just see the rand? Also any recommendations for resole shops that do No edge resole?

I usually wait until I see the rand, but before the rand starts to get worn. Sometimes it's a hole, sometimes the part where it wraps over the toe just thins out.

First they start to get really soft then there is a tiny hole, that is when they are ready. I sent mine to Rock and Resole and they did a good job. From what I can tell the new sole is a replacement part straight from La Sportiva, kinda cool. 

I can recommend the Rubber Room. They’ve done my Genius’ twice, like new both times.

So with the no edge does the rand always get replaced at the same time or do they come as one unit?  Curious why to wait longer?
