Where to buy Virbam rubber sheets?
|
I have an interest in starting a resole company, however, I need to learn first myself. I'd like to purchase a few sheets of Vibram rubbers but their website says that they do not sell direct to consumer. How can I get a hold of these sheets? I sent them an email but no response. I also tried googling as well and found some strange 3rd party websites with no prices. |

Try Unparallel rubber https://www.unparallelsports.com/rubber-orders/ |

https://www.mtntools.com/cat/rclimb/rshoes/510resolekits.htm Sells a kit if you want to give it a beginner shot. If you're looking to do simpler rand repairs, you can just use bike inner tube material after you give a good clean and purchase some good glue/sealer. Loctite 495 is good To buy a large sheet of Xs or Grip 2 or whatever the only places I found that could sell to a non business where UK outlets (maybe they have different regulations about wholesale from La Sportiva or whoever there) https://www.extremtextil.de/en/ The shipping was going to be a pain in the butt though so I settled for just doing rand repairs on my shoes. |

Starting a legit business in the US is east. Then call and set up a business account and then order away. Honestly, although all the resolvers seem to be always have a long wait, so more options to send shoes would be nice. Ontario wouldn’t work for me though. Also, There will be quite a bit of a cost for a press, lasts, and machinery such as a good shoe machine. I know the sanding machine used something like 24 grit paper, and masters cement is a good start. For the stealth Onyx you need special glue with additional process. That glue is Reno’s Color de cologne, with a special primer. You got your work cut out for you but might be a good business, ya never know. |

Hey - as someone who did / is trying (not actively atm) to do the same thing definitely order through unparallel. Their RS and RH is good rubber, their prices are about 1/2 that of vibram, and you don't need a business account. Use a cleaner to remove old glue (acetone typically works) and really take care with your prep, I noticed whatever glue Scarpa uses was incompatible with what I was using and lead to resole failures. Also check out labellesupply.com/ |

I really want vibram sheets for my bed so I don't fall down when parked on a slope. |

When I saw this thread title the first thing I thought of was coconut oil. |
