Best quick breakfast spot - headed to the crag.
|
Just moved to SLC I feel like there are so many dining options that spots are hit or miss. I thought to make a post to help people grab good food (in any town) before a day of climbing. Quick grab and go food preferably or convieniant quick sit downs. What is your favorite spot to swing in and grab food before going to X crag? My contribution: If climbing in the Bitterroot, the Victor Mercantile has pre-made breakfast burritos every morning, they use organic Lifeline eggs and cheese from the factory next door. |
|
EDIT: Actual response, not too many fast/good options here in Logan. My go-to at home is oatmeal with some vanilla protein powder. |

Toquitos at the 7-11. The cashier tells me the are for sure organic. I like to enjoy them in solitude, i would recommend challenge buttress if its a weekend. Welcome to SLC |

Something healthy you know, like a cigarette, maybe a couple of sausages |

…. god damnit |

Hostess fruit pie and a hot coffee if it is cold, or an iced coffee in warm weather. |
|
Hard boiled egg, granola bar, chunk of your favorite cheese, and a nectarine. Or, you know, stop at McD. and get two sausage egg and cheese Mac muffins and wolf ‘em down in the parking lot whilst perusing a guidebook- and so you can get rid of the wrappers and other trash before you go park. Either one-but if I’m being honest it’s probably more of the latter. |

Have you ever seen a F r i t z burrito post? |
|
Mostly just something cool, like a bar of chocolate. |
|
Toasted English muffin with peanut butter |
|
1/2 cup of overnight oats, 1/2 tbsp brown sugar, 1 apple cut up, and a dash of cinnamon. Oat day is send day |
|
6 eggo waffles with butter microwaved for 1:30 and 3 eggs microwaved for 2:00 min with cheese and your out the door in less than 10 min. |
|
Couple options I’ve learned while climbing outside the US. Greek classic breakfast-coffee and a cigarette, if your really hungry, second cigarette. |

Hank Hudley wrote: The secret beta is to make a large batch of the filling ahead of time; just chop and sautee the potatoes and veggies ahead of time. Then, when it's go time, fire up some oil in the wok, toss in a scoop and then crack two eggs into it. Roll it up and in sixty seconds, you've got a fresh breakfast burrito. This is the method that I used when I slung 52 burritos in an hour and a half for a fundraiser at Creek Pasture in 2017. You can also make a batch of prerolls and freeze them, then let one thaw in the fridge overnight. By morning, it's ready to fry to a crispy brown chimichanga. Frozen scrambled eggs never quite taste right to me, though, so I rarely utilize this method. For maximum flavor profile, lightly coat the rolled burrito in parmesan and everything bagel seasoning, then hit it quickly on high heat to create a salty, crunchy crust. |

hard drift… Burrito looks fire tho |

I’m an egg sandwich and coffee kinda guy. Either at home or on the way. Anyone know a good spot in central Washington? |

The Platonic ideal of fluffy scrambled eggs or butter-crisped fried eggs can only be attained over a stove, preferably on a gas burner with a nonstick wok. r/unpopularopinions -- cast iron skillets are to cooking eggs as hexes are to protecting Wingate splitters. |

All I need it a bowl of Fruit Loops for breakfast. More than that and I feel like crap for a couple hours. That will last me till 4pm when I bonk hard if that is all I ate all day. |
