Camping Near Mt. Erie

Howdy y'all --

I'm looking for camping options near-ish to mt. erie/Anacortes and I'm having trouble finding anything. All of the "real" campsites are reserved, and I can't find any info on other spots you can stay at. We can car camp or set up a tent, either is fine. I normally just car camp in a little turn off on the side of the road but I'm worried I won't be able to find one because the area is much more established than other Crags.

There is a walk in / bike camping area in deception pass state park.   If you are there mid-week you should be able to get a spot (people are too lazy to walk 100 yds. to their camp).   I just checked next week and there is availability.
