Any input on where I can get a stopper sewn like this?

Will a barrel knot not handle your need?
And if you really want a real bar tack, hit up mountain tools maybe or another outfit that does cam re-slinging....They might be able to tack it for ya.

It is for a tether that was damaged..  I'm not wanting to have a barrel knot and its tail faffing around.  I used it with a fisherman's when I had to cut it but wanted something streamlined (like original).

No reason to have a bothersome tail. Just bounce hard the barrel knot then cut the tail off flush with a hot knife.

I’d put that in the “dangerous advice” category. Without a tail on the stopper it’s not guaranteed to keep from coming undone and slipping through the connect adjust

Yea, that's going to be a no from me.  YGD

Wasn't there a thread about a little metal sleeve that goes over the end of the rope that would do the same thing?

SMC Endeez? You could probably find something at the hardware store to serve as a clamp type stopper as well

When I replaced my cord on the Petzl Connect I used this craft tip.

So far I've had no issue with the knot coming undone. For reference I am using it roughly 5 day/week.

What's wrong with a clove hitch using the rope?

(Sorry, someone had to say it).

IMO unnecessary. In 10+ years in the professional rope world I have never seen a pre loaded barrel knot loosen. Its standard to use a barrel knot as a stopper not in positioning lanyards. They also make a great handle, better than OEM tacked tail IMO.
Even if you were to somehow lock out your connect and slammed into that barrel knot, you would hardly have enough force to pull the tail through....it takes quite a large bit of constant force to pull a tail though on a barrel knot as oodles of tests show.

OP could also just splice the end and accomplish the cleanliness they seek.... but realistically the barrel knot pulled nice and tight is the way to go. The whole tail faffing about thing is weird to get hung up on to me....you literally have a piece of rope flopping around as is with a connect. Whats 3" of tail out of a barrel knot thats so unclean?

I have used a stopper knot (sans zip tie), and it was not a huge deal, did not worry, and I did not die.  But I posted to see about getting it more streamlined.

I do clove in at times and use a sling for raps, but I just kind of like the adjustability/speed the the "adjust".  Maybe I'll burn it all tand go to the PAS thong that everyone raves about.......

Cable clamps would do it.  10mm is about 3/8in, but 1/4in would probably get the job done for most ropes(just bring it with to check).  A basic u-bolt could work too.

I'd cut off excess threads and file though.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
