Rock rescue course recommendations
|
Buddy and I are hoping to take a rock rescue course in October. Does anyone have any recommendations for a good guide/program in the ~~Boulder area? We are open to a private class. Thanks! |

I just took one with SheSends that was really well done (I see per profile that you identify as male so that's a no-go for you but in case other women see this thread..). The specific guide I took it with is also one of the guides who runs SMILE Mountain Guides, which would be open to you! Doesn't look like SMILE specifically lists Self Rescue/ rock rescue on their website but would be worth inquiring if you're open to doing a two-person private! No matter who you go with, I hope it's great! I found the course super valuable. |

Colorado Mountain School does great work out of Neptunes; they host Rescue courses and also will build custom days with a guide |

I agree with Jared above. My wife and I did a rock rescue course with CMS. It was just us, another guy, and the guide Ian. We had the day at Lookout Mountain Crag and learned a ton. Highly recommend going with them. |

+1 on CMS! They were great (2 days at Marys Lake up in Estes) |

I took a great Climbing Self Rescue course with Golden Mountain Guides - I absolutely recommend them. If they don't have a date on their calendar that works for you, give them a call or email them and they will do what they can to meet your time schedule. https://www.goldenmountainguides.com/ |

We took a full-day rescue clinic from Denver Mountain Guiding and learned a ton. Kevin has a great crew. |

Is there a canonical resource for finding self-rescue courses? I'm based out of CA and am looking for something similar. |

good on you for wanting to take a course. there are so many climbers out there lacking basic partner rescue skills. |
