My family and I will be backpacking the Teton crest trail in September and want to leave our car at our exit point at Jenny Lake or nearby.  We will need to get a ride to our starting point on the road that heads to Idaho.  Does anybody know about local transport options, or even better, are there any locals reading this that would like to make a little money driving us from our car dump to start.  Specifically, we are planning to start on September 20.  Appreciate advice or replies.  Thanks, Geoff  650-919-4034

A few times when I've done day ski traverses of the Tetons to Idaho. We just call a taxi to pick us up.

I've had good success hitching a ride (e.g. Jenny Lake to Death Canyon)--Jenny Lake is busy.  To avoid sticking your thumb out, you could hit up people in the parking lot.  It's been a few years, so I don't know what the Rangers say.  And then you could ask Norm for his telephone number!
