My friend and I are planning a trip to Humbug, south’s of Butte and tick off Mutt and Jeff, ect.  Plan would be to do 2 routes one day and 2 the next.  Is there camping at the trailhead?  Or is there camping near the base of the rock? Appreciate any insight you have.  Thanks, Pete

I've camped in the pullout just to the left of the trailhead without any issues. Its all BLM land so you can camp wherever you like.

There is OK camping below or above the cabin below the wedge. The issue is water. Just behind the cabin was a pipe that had water. It's no longer in place so I won't say if you can get water out of a puddle. In the "good old days" we use to drink from it all the time. In the "old days" we could also mountain bike into the wedge. No signage. But then again - Dwight would unicycle the trail (before you try - remember Dwight did the Race Across America (and he also had the "recorded" on I-15 North/South in 22 hours (450 miles) with Todd - his riding partner - doing the East/West in 46 hours.
