Old School climbing gear and guidebook collectors

I have a lot of Old School gear, guidebooks, AAC Journals and ANAM Accident Reports I'm interested in selling if anyone collects this stuff.  Time to clean out the attic!  Minimal stuff from the 1930's, mostly hardware from the piton and nuts era.  Also lots of classic climbing books from the 1950's-1980's.  Anyone out there interested in this kinda stuff?

People are definitely interested.

Upload some photos and I’m sure you’ll get some bites.

Fair number of collectors, myself included (I just sold off some of my collection and a good friend's with more to go). Best bet is to post it up with pictures. If you are looking to sell it. FleaBay is your best option for selling and getting an idea of value of old gear. As for books, look on AbeBook.com or similar for value.

Yep.  Interested.

I need the 1937 AAJ.  Help!  Ha ha.

Guidebooks too.  I'll send you a pm.

Cheers!

Hey Tom,

I’m interested in classic climbing books, particularly on the Alps and Himalayas. I’ll pm you.

If anyone else is looking to sell some of their old books, hit me up, please.

Thanks to you all for the replies to my inquiry.  I have yet to get stuff gathered but at least I now know there is some interest.  One of these days I'll take some photos of my old gear and list up some of the books & publications I have.  I will post when I get my shit together.  On a positive note, my recent post reached a good friend and climbing partner from the 1970's, and we have carried on a good conversation.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
