Hey folks.
Looking UL sleeping bag for summer adventures in Cascades. I do have Marmot Helium 15F, I love it but it's 2lb and not full zip.
Ideally I want something that I can convert into blanket, has hood just in case I need more warmth and weight about 1-1.5 lb.
This is my ideal form factor https://seatosummit.com/products/trek-down-sleeping-bag-series but I still find it little bit heavy, with it was 800 or 900 down.
I know there are ton's of quilts but I want to have a hood.
Also found this one https://www.marmot.com/equipment/equipment-spring-sale/micron-40-sleeping-bag/AFS_889169252945.html but it has one way zipper, cannot be opened at footbox only

I quite fond of my Western Mountaineering Summerlite.  I routinely use it down in the 30s and mid 20s.  19oz, I think.  The hood is a little shallow, but it works.

+1 for the summerlite. It's rated for 32f but I've taken it down to high 20's with 30mph winds and didn't feel a thing, even when it was my only layer against the wind, and I was still warm. I would probably take it lower even. It's stupid light and a huge step up from the bags I had before it. The hood is a little shallow but I haven't noticed it to be much of an issue

Summerline looks great but it's not really blanket compatible. At least from the pictures I see. Can you guys post a pic with bag fully opened? It's hard to find.

A quilt + detachable hood (like the EE Hoodlum) or hat sounds like the best compromise and will also be the lightest by quite a bit. Why so dead set on a hood? You’ll probably need to make some compromise here.

Maybe. That's why I am asking here hoping that I missed some products doing my research.

Yeah, looks affordable and pretty light. But again, no full zip and no hood.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
