I'll be in Park city for 10ish days in the middle of July, for some reason or another. It appears Echo Canyon is the closest climbk g (30 minutes from where I'm staying). How terrible will that be in the middle of summer (i.e. will I need to get up at 5 to beat the heat/can I chase shade?) Am I correct in assuming there's no guidebook for the area? Anything in particular I should get on, specially in the 11/12- range? thx y'all -chode rider

Climbing in shade is totally fine to do in Echo.  Dry wall is probably where you'll want to be The bear hollow has some 11s and 12s but not nearly as good as dry wall.  Dry Wall gets shade about 2 on and bear hollow has shade until about 11.  If you have time the drive to the Uintas it would be worth it, good cragging and temps.  Hit me up if you need a catch 8o1nine417596.

Wait a second…..chode rider! If you’re the real chode rider, come down the hill and we can do some real climbing.
