Looking to head up to the Voo next week mid week. Anyone been up there recently? Has it been super busy? It sounds like there are 20 - 40 marked sites and you can also do dispersed camping if what I read is correct.
Anyone know how likely I am to get one of the marked sites of I get there mid week fairly early in the day?
Was up there last weekend and drove through the dispersed area for a half hour on a Saturday evening and we didn’t come across anything open. We then tried the campground and got a site. It was $10. I think your chances are good midweek.

Mid week you’ll be fine. Saturday night is almost a guaranteed bust. That’s good beta on the paid sites for Saturday, I have never thought of that. Pack out your shit or use the pit
Hey everyone - looking for some thoughts/guidance from folks who know the area well.
Headed up next Thursday for our first trip to Vedauwoo. Two couples, two little ones. Because of the little ones, we've rented a small RV (24ft).
First - based on the above, it sounds like arriving around 2pm on Thursday, we should be able to grab a spot in the campground. I think this is our preference, just to keep things easy.
That said, if we do discover the campground is full, do people get RVs back into the dispersed sites? If we do have to go this route, are there dispersed sites that have walking access to any of the major formations? The goal was to set up camp and not have to drive back and forth (carseats + 4 adults is a hassle).
Thanks!

To answer you question, yes people take a ton of RVs down the road. Most roads are pretty flat, you will see massive campers cruising around down there. That being said there isn’t really much dispersed camping that is super close to the major formations. A few spots close to nautilus, but those are usually snagged quick and are right on the main road so not super kid friendly! Best of luck and have fun!
