Rab waterproof softshell pants. Anyone tried them?

Has anyone tried out the Rab Kinetic Alpine 2.0 waterproof pants? I haven't had a chance to try them on in a store yet. Rab basically markets them as rain pants, but they're made of a stretchy softshell-like material. I was thinking this could be the perfect mix of softshell and waterproofness that I've been looking for to use with ice climbing.

I have both the jacket and pants. They work quite well. They aren’t quite as breathable as a softshell but they are stretchy, breathable and waterproof. I’ve used them ice and alpine climbing with really good success.

Thanks! What about the durability?

They have held up great. Granted I have worn the jacket more than the pants but both have seen a lot of use.

No personal experience but a friend has the jacket and under sustained rain it leaks... fine in the winter though ...

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
