Hey, we are looking for a podiatrist who is a climber/familiar with climbing.
My wife has a foot injury that doesn't heal, and the podiatrists she goes to seem to offer "take painkillers as needed" or "the most intrusive surgery" as options, both of which mostly preclude climbing on that foot.
Looking online I see there are many other procedures possible in between the extremes, there's even a paper where they had a soccer player fixed up and back to playing soccer of all things :) So, I'm wondering if a more sports-oriented/climbing-oriented doctor might suggest a better option.
I’m a podiatrist/climber in the Portland area. I know it’s a ways but tell me what she’s been diagnosed with and what treatments she has tried. If you have access to imaging that’d be helpful as well. I’ll do my best to give some advice and maybe I’ll ask around and see if I can track down a podiatrist in the seattle area who climbs.

When I was really struggling with foot/ankle injuries, these guys really managed to help me. They are much more focused on active individuals than “just getting you back to normal life”.
