Does anyone have any experience with this rope? Can’t find any reviews on it and would like to know if it’s worth buying. On sale for $99 (70m) on steep&cheap. 62% off Update: Bought the rope cause I couldn’t resist the deal. Will leave review after I use it. |

I'm following this -- I just bought the Edelweiss Curve 9.8 Dry treated on Gear Express for $123 and have heard mixed reviews. |

Wow, that’s a deal. I’m interested in reading your review when you get to it. I recently bought the 70m Beal Tiger 10mm Dry Cover Unicore and like it—but I paid WAY more than you did. The Beal seemed slightly stiff and slick initially but seems to be breaking in nicely now. It doesn’t feel like a 10mm rope either—more like a 9.8 or so. Wondering how the Edelweiss compares. |

I ended up canceling the order because I saw that people had issues with the Red rope, so I hit up my friend who had a pro deal. I got the Mammut Classic Crag 9.8. Hopefully, your rope works for you! |

Sorry for such a late response, but I haven’t had that much of a chance to use my rope until recently. Pros: The rope has a nice feel to it. Burley (10mm) with a smooth feed through the grigri so far. Very soft catches. Clips well for its size. Not bad for working sport and trad. Runs across granite and sandstone with minimal wear. The dry treated sheath allowed the rope to perform when it had been lightly rained on.
Conclusion: I foresee many TR sessions to friends and friends alike cause it’s a workhorse in its later life. Until it loses that new rope feel I’m going to enjoy leading on it. 7/10 *I’ll update this if anything changes |
