Wind Pants

Hey Y'all

What is everyones go-to wind pants these days?

I'd love to get the houdini pants but they are discontinued, the Montane Featherlights seem like they fit the bill but are also discontinued. I use the Helium rain pant as a wind pant sometimes but I want something more breathable. I'm looking for something in the 4oz range that has boot zips/buttons on the bottom. I wanted to see if anyone here knows of other wind pants.

Wind Pants that I can find on the interwebs by weight:

Enlightened Equipment Copperfield 1.3 oz (to thin for my purposes and no boot zip)

Patagonia Houdini pant 3.8 ounces (discontinued)

Montane Featherlight pant 4.2 ounces (discontinued)

Patagonia strider pro pant 4.4 ounces (discontinued)

Arc Teryx Incendo pant 5.8 ounces

Patagonia windshield 9.3

What about soft-shell (e.g. ferrosi)?

well...Ferrosis are 11 oz, arent wind proof, dont have a boot zip, are bulky to pack or carry in a running belt, etc.

I throw a wind pant on over my softshells (like a ferrosi)  so that I don't have to wear long johns for alpine starts/colder mornings on alpine climbs, but I want them to be as minimal/packable as possible. I also carry them on long trail runs that put me in alpine terrain where i need the added coverage in case weather goes down the crapper.

The wind pants are to be paired with softshells, tights, or running shorts, but are lighter and more breathable than hardshell pants. Its a niche, but one I keep running into in the PNW.

Following with interest, as I've also been looking unsuccessfully.

FYI, see #3 on Colin Haley's list of gear recommendations:

Discount dance supply body wrappers warm up pants.

$20 a pair, ultralight. Great pants. I'm on my fifth pair in 10 years of use. I walked the Pacific crest trail in these and now they're my climbing go-to. They're actually very similar to the Patagonia houdini in terms of performance and durability

Not everything needs to cost $130 and come from a fancy outdoor store

Goodwill, Savers, Salvation Army, your local used gear shop

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
