El Potrero Chico stay recommendations

Hello! I am heading to El Potrero Chico at the end of October 2022. We are researching where to stay and I open to suggestions.

Some input:

1. 2 people (me + my wife). 2. We aren't necessarily looking for the cheapest option, but it doesn't have to be fancy. 3. We are looking for a relatively quiet place to stay - reading some stories about parties until 3am does not appeal to us. We are going to climb! - not to party!

Thanks in advance

I stayed at Leos when I went.  Very cheap, nothing amazing but nothing terrible with the accommodations and his breakfast that he cooks up was amazing.  Tons of protein to start off a great day of climbing.  He knows a decent amount of English and I definitely learned a bit of Spanish from him and he's just an awesome family guy.  His tacos in the afternoon also rock.  Ohhh also, there were no late night parties at his place, nice and quiet.

Ariel's Chalet is great. Unlike most of the lodging, it is inside the Potrero next to the climbing. Remote and quiet spot, amazing views. Pretty awesome couples trip spot. Stayed there for 2 weeks with my girlfriend several years ago and really enjoyed it.

It is farther from the restaurants though, so it's best if you prefer to cook your own meals (room has a basic kitchen), rather than eat out

We’ve stayed here a few times now…. Super good and quiet.  Jorge is the man!

How could you possibly not eat out when in EPC?  The food is cheap and amazing!!

Ohhh another thing to add, there's a good masseuse that advertised at the Chrstian charity coffee place in town (I think they were building schools with the profits).  Can't remember the name but I got an incredible massage there for like 20 bucks.  Highly recommend on a rest day.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
