Sean Bailey had an amazing 2021; here is the movie!

I know not everyone cares about comp climbers, but Sean really proved himself outside last year as well as on the IFSC circuit, with one of the most notable years for any American comp climber since Lynn Hill. Proof of Concept is a 31min flick about Sean's journey. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OneTmfEsANI Apologies if this was posted elsewhere.... it's 19 days old and I searched back a few weeks for "Bailey" and didn't find anything on the forums. |

We had a discussion about how nobody discussed this in some thread. Anyway I wouldn’t say Sean really proved himself outside anymore than he proved himself in comps. I believe his parents were climbers and Drew Ruana’s dad posts picture of Shawn destroying climbs. I loved the failure to onsight that one climb. I love onsighting and even some of my falls while onsighting, I feel like they were kinda wins. |

I want someone to look at me like the OP looks at Sean Bailey |

But yeah, looking at Nathaniel Coleman with even more adoration than Sean. That guy is so underrated (and just an overall kind and intelligent human being). |

John RB, thanks for posting up! I hadn't come across this. Really high quality and impressive video! |

Why can’t this be another film about the Wideboyz or an Alex & Tommy bromance. I only care about those four dudes. Doesn’t matter if their climbs are world class or just tales of their random buddies pooping. Even if it’s just two dudes getting tired during a 24 period doing something inane, I only want to see those pairs of dudes. I don’t want to see films about anybody else. No that’s not true...thank you Sean Bailey for not being Alex, Tommy, Tom or Pete. |

Since this thread has now degenerated into poop, let me ask you guys this: how long has Sean been dating Miho? Do they even share a language?? Do they need to? |
|
John RB wrote: Where’d you find out they are dating?! |

Not Not MP Admin wrote: They're hanging out together in this film (in Ceuse) and so I looked it up. https://www.up-climbing.com/en/falesia/news/sean-bailey-su-bibliographie https://fanatic-climbing.com/miho-nonaka-realise-mr-hyde-8c-miho-nonaka-climbs-mr-hyde-8c/ These articles call them "boyfriend" and "girlfriend" so I assume they're dating. My friend's fiancee is obsessed with Miho and tells me Sean taught her how to project (she's mostly been an indoor comp boulderer) and she sent a 14c in Ceuse working with him, while he worked on Bibliographie, and that sparked the relationship. Best to them in any case! |

John RB wrote: Those two look like Anatolian Shepards. Are they dating two? Just work friends? |

John RB wrote: Miho speaks English to my knowledge. Not sure they are dating based on what you’ve posted though. The “boyfriend”/“girlfriend” thing seems to be a common translation that does not mean what we think it means.
