Hey all, hoping to look out for deals on mountaineering boots this spring/summer and looking at Scarpa. Any idea how their EU boot sizes compare to climbing shoe sizes? I wear the Instinct VS in an EU 45 (no toe wiggle room). When it comes to casual boots, I wear TNF Berkeley boots in a US 12/EU45.5 (moderate toe wiggle room).

I use the newer phantom tech and Rebelle HD. I'm usually a 44 across most shoes/boots, but use a 43.5 in both Scarpa.
I don't think there is much point in comparing climbing shoe and boot sizes.
Just to add me as a data point. Phantom Tech and Ribelle Tech in 43.5. Scarpa climbing shoes down to 41.5 for sportclimbing and up to 43 for multipitches...
I'm with Jacob - no point in comparing to rock shoes, at least not in general, since they vary all over the place. I take 2 if not 2.5 EU sizes smaller in some LaSpo shoes compared to say Evolv and some others. Even within LaSpo I can go up/down 1.5 sizes depending on the model.
Having said that, my SCARPA boots - I have had 4 different models and the sizing has been consistent across them all - are the same size and other casual or approach shoes e.g Salomon or 5.10.
