Hi all, I'm looking to pick up a pair of Skwamas and wanted to get some opinions on how I should size them. I've done decent research and know that these will stretch a lot. I'm a 43 street size and was planning on sizing the Skwamas at 41. I was pretty set on the 41's but read somewhere that they are sized similar to Otaki's, which I have a pair in 43 and had to stretch out a bit and fit great. Wondering if these are actually sized like the Otaki's and I should size at 43 or close or stick with 41's? Thanks in advance.
I got my Skwamas 1/2 size smaller than my Otakis (which were sized pretty tight for a performance fit) and I'm happy with the fit.
I'm an 11 running shoe in most brands. I have 42.5 TC Pros for slightly better performance (toes flat but tight), 43 TC Pros for more comfort, 42.5 Otakis for better edging performance, and 42 Skwamas. Happy with the sizing in all of them.
Stiffer shoes like the Otaki can be sized larger and still edge well, but a super soft shoe like the Skwama needs to be pretty tight in order to edge. If you are wearing your street shoe size in La Sportiva, I’m going to assume you don’t like tight fitting shoes, in which case I’d suggest something stiffer than the Skwama.

In addition to stretching, Skwamas tend to run larger than other Sportiva shoes. My street size is 41.5, Testarosas are 39.5 and my Skwamas are 38.5. If you can find a pair to try on before you buy I’d recommend it.
The skwama is quite a bit larger than the same size otaki in my experience. Definitely try before you buy, or order multiple sizes and then return the ones that don’t fit.
