Beside Banks Lake where else can I go deep water soloing in Washington Oregon Idaho and Montana? |

Lake Billy Chinook has some DWS. Nothing well known or developed, but there's for sure choss above deep water. (that people have climbed) |
|
I’ve read a little about billy chinook, is it slabby like banks lake or vertical? |
|
I’ve seen some cool stuff at sun lakes/soap lake. I also have a little honey hole in the n cascades, but I’m not gonna blow up the spot until I’m getting ready to move |
|
I haven't spent tons of time there, but I'm pretty sure there are some vertical walls above the water. |

Long as it’s clean to swim in deep water buildering would be dope. I’d climb the underside of a bridge over the Snake or Columbia but not the Yakima, it’s nasty |

This is the view at Steelhead Falls, facing downriver from the falls. There are a couple ~5.8 lines that for sure go (red), they're about 15 ft. I haven't tried the lines in green but I suspect they'd go at ~5.10/5.11 if you can get established out of the water. I've eyed the line in purple to the right, it's a blank, overhanging arete, but I suspect it could go as a double digit boulder problem. |

Post back if you end up trying them! Curious to hear how they go. Also I just saw the boulder problem posted on MP for the area. Looks like someone has traversed into the top of the arete at V3/V4. I'd like to know if anyone has tried it from the bottom of the arete. |

If you feel like crossing the border into Canada, this island is pretty cool: https://www.mountainproject.com/area/110938083/echo-island-deep-water-soloing.. Need a boat or kayak to access, though. |

Back in the day we’d go to Granite Point to climb and cliff jump. There definitely some potential with deep pools off the back side of the cliff but I never tried it. |

I remember climbing some things at Billy Chinook just a little bit up the Crooked River on the eastern side of the river. pretty vertical with deep water, some cool traverses and a few tall walls you can climb up and jump off. Even found some booty on one of them for some reason. |

Ryan Westby wrote: The purple line has a nice crack with a dynamic move to some jugs. Probably no harder than 10b. The other side of the arete is a little tougher. Around 11a face moves |
