I need a new alpine pack. Anyone have experience with this pack? TIA!

On paper, the specs are good, price is decent, and it ticks all boxes for an alpine pack. I did not like the way it carried when full with an overnight kit. I sold it after a couple of all day approaches when I had too much time to feel the shoulder straps cutting into me.

All light packs have a load limit, and other people I know didn't mind how this pack handles weight but I am a comfort wuss. The Arc FL 30/40s handle weight a little better (but lack features), the Mtn Hardwear AL packs are more comfortable, and the Osprey Mutant 38 is the most comfortable, but heaviest.

The HMG Prism is another to consider, but seemed a little small for a 40L pack - and I have never used.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
