West NY Ice and also Eighteen Mile Creek SP

I'm looking for ice, and partners if so, west of Buffalo. I frequent the Jamestown/Chautauqua area and maps show what looks like a few river gorges. I've hiked it in the summer and saw what looked like a few falls. Do any of these freeze?

I also found the permit application for Eighteen Mile Creek but can't find any descriptions of routes. Does such a thing exist for it? Pictures look pretty motivating!
