5.10 Grandstone sizing and fit. Overall thoughts on them. Looking to switch from TC Pros.

I currently wear TC Pros in 44.5. Does anyone know how the size and fit compares in 5.10 Grandstones? Years ago I had some 5.10 Guides (climbing shoe) and I thought I remember they ran small. Meaning they might’ve been size 46 for the same fit as my TC Pros. Can’t remember positively though.

My grandstones are 10.5 and fit comfortably. I could have sized down, but definitely not any larger.

For reference, my TC pros in 42.5 are comfortable and my TCs in 42 are "performance fitting."

I think 5.10's sizing philosophy is to make it as close to the wearer's street size as possible. My street size is also 10.5.

Can't really help to much in relation to comparison to TC pros. I have narrow feet and bought a pair hoping they'd fit but they were too tight. Size 45, brand new, $100+shipping if you want them.

I hate super tight climbing shoes, and I am about a 1/2 size up from my street shoes for the gradstones.

I like them, but I wear all sorts of shoes and I really care about the rubber more than the shoe itself.

I wear 45 in TC Pro for a performance-without-pain fit (can wear them all day but still feel like I can climb on tiny edges) and I got 46.5 Grandstones for a comfortable fit that I could wear with or without socks. My usual street shoe is 45.5.

I wear my street shoe size in the Grandstone.  A little snug at first but they stretch out and become a really comfortable all day shoe.  Too bad they don't make them anymore.

I don't have TCs but 44.0 in katana lace is performance but still jamable. 11.0 grandstones were really tight when new but stretched into decently comfortable performance fit, and 11.5 grandstones are all day comfort with less edging power, but even the tighter ones aren't particularly good at edging. The shoe softens up but is great for mostly crack climbing but in hot weather or combination face/crack they're not my favorite. My katanas are resoled with C4 tho and are my preferred thin crack/face/edging/techy whatever shoe, but I plan to try the new tc pros soon

Look into the Acopa JB. I had TC Pro in size 44 and I'm an 11.5 in the JB. High top shoe with really nice proprietary rubber that I found comparable to C4. Wide forefoot which isn't quite my fit, but I still love them and the fit.

Street shoe size in Grandstones felt solid when I got them but they stretch quite a lot and were a bit sloppy after a while. Hopefully you can find them in whatever size you’re looking for, supplies are low/not restocking

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
