Bought one, I have no current plans to go back but I love reading guidebooks and you gave us a ride back to our car after we finished Lurking Fear during Yosemite cleanup 3 years ago, we were the very last party to rap the old fixed lines as you replaced them right behind us. Thanks!

Mine just came in. It runs a bit large, the medium fit me well at 6’ 175, 42” chest, with a base layer under it. Feels lighter than an R1, won’t be as warm. It has an athletic fit, wearing it with a harness should be fine. It feels more burly than the Old Navy ones, but not the quality of a climbing brand. Sleeves have good length.

I have both Eddie Bauers Men's High Route Grid Fleece 1/2-Zip Hoodie and a Thermal Tech Pullover Hoodie and they are both excellent. This version looks much better. Love the zippered pockets, maybe I'm just wishing because I'll be heading out today and wish I had even one of these, so I ordered 3. I suspect that the pullover would work better today as it will be 2 or 3 layers under and getting to the zippers all but impossible.

I think I will buy another also, tried it on today after washing to make sure it fit the same and it did. This is probably the most technical piece EB has made in years, it comes down really low on the hips for use with a harness, clings snug to the body, high in the armpits, pockets dont add bulk. Its truly fitted for climbing/alpine to the point it might look kinda stupid wearing it around town. With their warranty ( bring anything into the store in any condition and they NEVER ask questions just immediately refund ) its a solid buy at 40$.
