Camp Glove Sizing: Geko Ice Pro

Anyone have a pair of these gloves or a similar glove from Camp [Cassin].

The sizing seems off from what the company sent me and what reviews if seen online. According to this size chart I'd take a large, which seems insane as I take a small [7.75" circumference] in every other glove. Can anyone confirm that this chart is correct?

Also the glove is uninsulated in the palm but does it have any type of lining? Just enough that your not feeling the clammy leather palm material.

I have them and love them. I ordered a bigger size last year and they were too baggy. Went back to my normal glove size and am happy. Snug for sure but that’s what I want. Definitely a lining on the palm as well

I have 7.75" hands, and my pair of small Geko Ice Pro's fit comfortably snug (awesome dexterity, no issues with circulation). I make no guarantees as to finger length, though.

EDIT - forgot to say there's a thin fleece-y/shammy liner on the palm, never had issues with clammy leather feel. Definitely my current favorite leader glove, and the leather on the palm sticks to temflex like crazy.

I have a couple of the ice pro and some other camp gloves. For me going one size up has worked well on getting a good fit. I’m normally a medium to medium/large in other brands in Camp the large fits well

Hey Greg, how did you find the finger length? Did they run long or short? I have a 7" hand length, so slightly shorter than normal.

I normally wear size small gloves (BD, Mountain Hardwear, and whatever Costco has at the time). I wear a medium in the Geko. Fingers are a little long for me but they are a nice fit around my palm and I enjoy climbing in them.

I'd say short. I have shortish fingers, and tend to have trouble finding gloves that give me a good feeling of dexterity with them (OR especially always runs long in the fingers for me). The Geko's feel comfortably short, similar to size small Rab M14's, and slightly shorter than size small Mountain Equipment Super Alpine Gloves, for comparison.

That sounds perfect. Are you my hand twin? Most OR glove have medium to long fingers but if you happen to find a pair of Contacts they'll fit you perfectly.

Quite possibly, I'll have  to check those out, thanks!

Hey Greg, or any other of the guys on this thread who are wearing the small/medium Geko Ice Pros. Do you mind telling me what your hand length is? I'm trying to figure out if I am a small or medium in these gloves. My hand circumference is 7 in and hand length is 6.5 in. Thank you!!!

I ended up buying a small. My hand is 7.75 girth * 7.0 long. Like Greg said they were a tiny bit snug but now after break-in fit great. The fingers are a tiny bit long for me but nothing dramatic like other gloves. The glove is fantastic!

From tip of my middle finger to the crease at the base of the palm is ~7.25".

i have an older pair of ice geckos that are a large and the limit of painted on when dry but when they get wet its a pain to get back into them

however a pair of like ski gloves that work well for ice just a bit less dexterity that ive used and like of theres in xl are slightly too glovey so like the tip is an 1/8th of an inch too long it feels

in short their sizing is bonkers BUT they are great gloves if you can live with the little things and like their feel

I just bought a pair of them. I wear a hestra size 10 and had to go with an XL in the ice pro. It’s still a bit tight.

Mine are size Large and fit me well for leading ice. Just barely what I'd call snug but they're not tight at all. Definitely not as snug as you'd want for hard mixed but I don't climb that stuff anyway.

My hand is 8.5" around the knuckles and 7.5"ish long.

I measure 7 but use size small. I have several pairs as I think they are the best ice glove out there.

I always wear size L.  I got my size L ice gekos in the mail, and they were snug.  So, I sent them back for an XL... and the XL have exactly the same finger width as far as I can tell, but are longer so they have inferior dexterity.  Crap. I'm actually a small guy, not 5'8" and 165. My hands are just average sized.

Any tightness in a glove and they just won't keep you warm.  I have the cheapo fishermans gloves (showa?)  and they are great until it gets cold.  I was hoping to wear these when it's a bit colder. Rachael (or anyone else), can you tell me if these are decent down to let's say, 15F? Or is it more like if there's no sun, they're just too cold?

In Jan of '23 I was Ouray, and I tried on their gekos, and I think this was before they were replaced by the Pros.  The fit was fine in a large. By later in the season, the older "Ice" models were nowhere to be found, replaced with the "Ice Pro" for about 50% higher price, They went from just over $100 to $150, ouch.  Well it's a big bummer that the size is wacky as well.

Anybody with just (compared to the camp model) slightly thicker fingers have a better glove they know?
