I ran across this video from DMM that features someone doing a rope jump from a bridge. Skip to the end, the first few minutes are just him showing off various rigging plates. Basically, they jump off the side of a bridge while tied into a rope that appears to be anchored on the other side, then it catches them and they swing around before coming to a stop. Does anyone have any info on how to set something like this up, ideally in a less complicated fashion? The way he does it is very time and gear intensive, presumably to show of the ability of the gear he's promoting. If anyone has a link to a guide on this topic, or could share any info or ideas they might have, that would be awesome.
I've tried searching google for variations on "rope jump off bridge" or just "rope jump" but not much comes up. I've also watched several of Ryan Jenk's HowNotTo videos on his mega rope jumps, but those are all from highlines and he isn't super detailed in those episodes.
There is a link to the rostrum jump in the most recent Dano Jump, and Jenks has links in all of his video descriptions. Go on down that rabbit hole , but definitely jump with someone who has rigged before. Highlines are awesome because the webbing stretches and reduces force in addition to the Climbing ropes
