North Conway winter car/van camping suggestions
|
Anyone have a suggestion of where to park and sleep for some ice climbing around the area in January? In the past I’ve just pitched a tent near the AMC or gotten a room somewhere but I’ll have a van to sleep in this time. |

There’s a Walmart in North Conway. |

Offering a local ten bucks a day works sometimes. Beer too. Gas grass or ass... |

Hey Greg, I have a spot in my yard that I let folks park in from time to time. There are zero amenities, but if you're just looking for a legal place to park your van in the evening it might work for you. You might have to to shovel out the spot, but besides that it'd be free. Shoot me a message if you're interested and we can discuss details. |

Good on ya Mike. |

While the North Conway Walmart may officially not allow overnight parking, they don't really care. I've stayed there 4 nights this year without problems and there were always lots of other cars there too. |

Hey Greg - just got back yesterday from a week in the van skiing at Wild Cat and sleeping near North Conway with zero incidents. I'll send you a PM on some places that have worked for me. |

Thanks everyone! I haven’t been able to climb for a few years, excited to be back in North Conway soon! |
