Does anyone have a crampon and/or toe bail that fits the Scarpa F1 ski touring boot? It's got a real subtle toe welt that none of my automatic crampons fit. They fit in my Petzl Irvis Hybrids with the semi-auto toe basket -- but I'd prefer full auto. I guess I could try bending the toe bail to fit?

Try some of the CAMP skimo crampons, the nanotech ones (green and black) have a front bail designed for ski boots.

If you like the F1s as boots, the petzl leopards seem up your alley. They are both fairly high performing for how light they are (of course there will be some sacrifice for durability).

Can't recall the model...BD stinger maybe? Sabertooth with switchblade heels, I think... Stopped in at Skimo a few weeks ago...amazing selection of crampons for ski boots: Skimo crampon chart

Another vote for the wide BD toe bail -- I've used F1s and Sabretooths for quite a bit and had zero issues with fit. I believe they can be attached to some other brands of crampons as well, if necessary.

The BD toe bail is too thick a gauge to fit into Petzl and Grivel front sections. I've filed down the bail before where it meets but it's still a pain getting them to fit. The Petzl and Grivel bails are similar in gauge and seem mostly interchangeable. Some of the skimo boots can be a tough fit; I made custom to bails for the Sportivas from old Petzl SideLock heel bails.

Thanks for the recommendations! I ordered the BD wide bail. It sort of works with the Black Diamond Sabretooths. Not ideal, but should be fine. I also tried the CAMP Aluminum Toe Bail with the BD Sabretooths, and I think it provides a better fit: For anyone else that finds this thread, here are some of the other crampons I've tried: Grivel G-14: excellent fit, heavy as shit Petzl Irvis Hybrid: good fit with the semi-auto toe bails CAMP XLC 470: bad fit, posts too narrow for toe Cassin Blade Runners: good fit

I know this might be too late for OP, but if it's a useful data point for anyone else in this position: my Petzl Sarkens with the stock toe bail fit perfectly on the F1 LT (25.0) and very acceptably on the Maestrale RS (2nd gen, 25.5)
I ordered a wider BD bail for the Maestrales thinking I'd need to swap, but those stock bails actually fit even better Sarkens + F1 LTs performed very well during big line season last spring - I'm tempted to try them on some true ice one of these days, but hard to neglect my Phantom Techs
