Does anyone here have experience using an integrated swivel and carabiner? I'm specifically looking at the DMM Director Swivel Boss (or Director Swivel Eye) or the Rock Exotica SwivaEye Auto-Lock, though experience with other models could be useful. I'm trying to figure out both if people have found having a 2-in-1 here to be helpful, and if the carabiners on these specific models are super small. Thanks!

Skot Richards are waiting till they become available in the US to replace the swivel we now use. I think it’ll be perfect.

Which one you going with? Rock Exotica?

We just used the Rock Exotica swivel on the Prow last weekend. Here is a pic with 8 mm blue docking cord for scale.

We clipped it to the beefy Metolius steel auto-locker which had extra room for the gear/pull-up tethers carrying the ledge and poop tube.

I think it worked really well, but this was my first wall so don't have anything else to compare it to! I really appreciate the sweet little tech tips widely available today many of which I can find right here on the proj or old supertopo threads. Seemed to make hanging out on the wall pretty posh a.k.a. more time gazing at half dome and less time faffing about ... heh ... !

I’m going with the new DMM with the large bottom ‘bell’ that opens up, so I can put my rap rings into it.

The new swivel biner looks to be 1-3/16” shorter than my previous biner-swivel set up. Just need to drill a hole in the new biner for the microTrax keeper cord.

Done.   And NO….  I’m not worried about the tiny hole.
