I am a sweaty bastard and there is nothing worse than feeling your kneepad slip and slide around when trying to rest.

Any best brands or advice?

Might also be down to spray adhesive pads to myself. Any specific brands that are good?

Edit: INB4 knee pads are aid

Mostly send pads, the large slims

Spray adhesive is more key than duct tape, imo

The Franklin volleyball knee pads are great! Cost like 8$ and look unscathed after stemming and jamming through Utah slot canyons.

This is for rubber kneepads for technical kneebars

Never tried this for pads, but back when I used to get taped up for an ankle injury it kept the wrap in place.

Gotcha, was thinking of off-widths!

Shaving your leg where the kneepad sits will help some. And maybe try a smaller pad, I've never liked the bigger ones. I feel like I can get a more secure fit with the small ones.

Send pads are the best I've used (small ones, both slim and thick), and they have a nice sticky pattern on the back of their newest ones (haven't used yet, but looks like it would work great). Sportiva makes a new one, and it seems sticky, but the straps feel weird to me. It does have a cool flange that extends over the kneecap a little, idk check it out.

Never been a fan of duct tape, but if you use it, it will also stick better (and hurt less to remove) without hair on your leg.

Oh, and sometimes depending on the route, wearing pants can help improve the feel and fit of the kneepad. Experiment a little and see what feels best.

What blows my mind is they make strap on pads, but all you ding dongs continue to use slip on pads with duct tape.. makes absolutely zero sense to me. And then complain about it moving or tearing off the duct tape. I bet if you used the send pad with the new blue grip stuff inside it and straps that puppy isn’t going to move at all. I know because I have one. It actually worked to good and I bought another one with out the grip inside.

But to answer your question 3m duct tape is the best… still doesn’t beat a strap though

Will try the 3M for the next roll.
