I was reading through some threads and came across this brand, Himali, and I was wondering if anyone has feedback on it, and more specifically if anyone has tried the guide pants. thanks all
Heard of them. Reputable brand? Couldn't say, but they definitely seem alpine climbing focused and are American based (Boulder). I have heard of various reputable people liking their stuff who don't appear sponsored by them (pretty sure Clint Helander said on another MP thread he loves their belay jacket).
RE the Guide Pant it looks like its just on presale? I would want to try it in person or be getting some sort of really good discount before just ordering them, regardless of quality construction/materials/features/etc. Maybe try find a gear shop with other Himali gear and try the fit of some other pants?
I've got a down jacket from them (Altocumulus 2.0) that I really like. It fits well and is well made. That being said, I feel like there's not too much variability between high quality down jackets so that may not be very telling.
Yep! HIMALI has been around for a few years, Started by Dave and Tendi. I've seen some of their really early products evolve for the better over the years and I too have had good success with a few of their layers. Worth checking the gear out. They are also opening up a storefront in Boulder, CO this month.
