Can I watch the Olympics?!

Well, excited to watch qualifiers today after work; given that I work I can't watch them live, so I was hoping to watch the replays.  But...

The website https://stream.nbcolympics.com/sport-climbing-mens-combined-qualification

tells me that I need to sign into my "TV service" so I can watch the replays.  But... I don't have a TV service.  Aha!  To the right it says to get a Peacock account if you don't have a TV service.  But I must sign up for Peacock Premium to get replays.  Ok, so it's $4.99/mon, that's fine and I sign up for that service.  But guess what... Climbing is not one of the select sports that has replays available, just gymnastics and a few others.  Ok, so I can't watch climbing.

Another hour of searching and nothing.  I'm not going to sign up for 140 channels with Comcast at $90/mon (with a 1 yr contract required) in order to watch the olympics, so forget that.

Are there other options?!  I realize I'm not a "real American" without any TV service, but I just wouldn't use such a service so I've never bothered.

I’m in a similar situation. The climbing should be live on peacock, maybe only if you get the premium though, and I’m just staying up (not really even going to bed at all) to watch the finals in a few hours.

I have no problems finding live streams; unfortunately the climbing airs either in the middle of the night here in CA, or during the day when I have to be at work.  I figured there must be SOME way for fans to see the action after work?  Other than paying thousands of dollars to a TV provider, that is.

YouTubeTV, which has month-to-month payments and I think has a 2 week trial period too, qualifies as a "cable" provider for the NBCOlympics site. I think it's probably the cheapest/easiest way to watch all of the Olympic climbing in the US.

Signed up for this, searched... they appear to be yet another streaming service without replays/vods for climbing once it's already occurred.

I'm accumulating new services now, none of which have the day's climbing once I get off work. :(

Yeah peacock isn’t actually having it right now……

I got the Hulu Live and set up the DVR function to record the first day.  Ended us with 30min of men's volleyball overtime and then 20min of speed climbing!

Are you searching the right way? I did the Youtube TV thing and have no problem viewing full replays on the nbcolympics.com site

BigRed's method worked for me, thank you! Sad I blew $5 on a useless Peacock subscription.

This worked for me as well. Sign up for Free trial youtubeTV then go NBC Olympic site and use YouTube login to get into NBC site. There they have all the full replays.

Yes this is all completely backwards and a huge rigamorole. NBC is dropping the ball.

Finally figured it out because of this post, thanks!

Yeah its annoying, but I just use a vpn (hola chrome extension is free) then CBC.ca for the Canadian stream.  They have live and video replays of the full event after the fact.  Thanks Canada!

My gym will be hosting a replay viewing, which is more fun, I think, being with my fellow rowdies.

Go to NBC Sports > Sign in with "Tv Provider" > Manually search "YoutubeTV" > Sign in via YoutubeTV Google SSO > back to NBC sports site > Sport Climbing > Replays

Thanks to Chris Stocking and BigRed.  I had already canceled YouTube TV, so I had to go make another trial account, but their suggestion worked.  Finally I can watch Olympic Sport Climbing! :)

It’s pretty funny how so many people got upset that the Olympics were going to blow up the sport.  But as it turns out, very few people will even see it.

Why the fuck is it so hard to watch. Nobody pays for cable, that shit is dead. Why do I have to get a vpn to watch it for free on cbc? Why can’t this be as simple as streaming the damn thing? What the hell is wrong with this country

Seriously… the way the Olympics coverage is structured, it’s like they don’t want anyone to watch it.

But dudes, I feel your pain, I too found it impossible to find any decent replays or coverage so I gave up. Apparently some Spanish dude I have literally never heard of won?

I use NordVPN and connected to a canada server, get an error 26 when trying to play using FF, Chrome, Edge.  :(
