Scarpa Booster S - best replacement?

I was surprised to not find a thread on this already - the Scarpa Booster S has long been my most favorite shoe for almost every type of climbing.  Now that it's discontinued, I need a replacement.  How does the new Booster compare, in terms of fit and performance?  I haven't been able to find a shop that stocks them to try them on.  Alternately, I have tried a demo pair of Instinct VSR and they seemed to fit and feel very similar to the Booster S.  If this has already been discussed and I missed it, feel free to point me to that thread.  Thanks!

Are you looking for something that maintains its downturn? My VSR’s went flat after a few weeks. The new Booster does not look as wide as the old one, much narrower in the toe box than the VSR however.

Have you had the Booster S?  Are the VSR's noticeably worse than the Booster S for loosing the downturn?  It would be nice if they didn't do that.  I don't remember the VSR having issues with the toe box shape but I only had them on for a few minutes.

I am hoping that they didn't change the shape of the new Booster.  I have a hard time finding shoes that fit me well, and the Booster S fit me perfectly.

The new Booster S and Boostic have a similar rand to my Chimera, which goes from the heel all the way to the toe, as compared to the VSR which just wraps the heel. I climbed in my Chimera's until blowing through the toe and they still have the original downturn. I think Scapa is onto something with that rand design. My daughters Drago LV's are also maintaining their shape, same rand.

Well, it sounds like the Instinct VSR is not the substitute that I hoped it would be.  Has anyone climbed in the new Booster?

(Late edit for anyone digging this thread up:  I now own a pair of Boostics and the ideal was half a size larger than the Booster)

Well just in case anyone is curious, I finally got a chance to try on the new Booster at a Scarpa shoe demo - although they only had one left shoe (?!) it was miraculously in my size.  The sizing and fit/feel of the new shoe feels the same as the old Booster S.  Is it 'better?'  Not that I could feel, but I'm not very sensitive in that regard.  I kept the old shoe on my other foot and literally forgot that I had swapped them.  I also tried on a left Boostic in the same size (same deal, they had the left shoe only...) and that also fit pretty good - just a hair tighter.  I would have tried a half size up for the Boostic if they had it, but most likely I would stick with the same size as the Booster.

TLDR - if you have the old Booster S dialed you should be safe ordering the same size new Booster

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
