Best painters pole to use with the Superclip?
|
Hey all, after 5 years of thrashing it my "Lowes special" generic painters pole finally fell apart. Does anyone have any recommendations for painters poles that are quite sturdy, well made, and work with the Superclip? Thanks in advance!! |

I think you can get one at Lowe's. They make a pretty cheap generic painters pole, should last you about 5 years |

I'd avoid anything with the mechanism that you twist in the housing to tighten. They are pricier, but the Mr. Long Arm poles are really nice. I have the 8-24ft one and it's held up nicely. The Wooster ones are super sturdy as well, but they are heavy and even more expensive. |

I'm partial to my duster pole. It's from the cleaning aisle of the borg. I think it cost around 8 bucks. It's got more sections than a typical painters pole, resulting in a manageable collapsed length that extends to almost 20 feet. It does lack some rigidity, especially at the full extension. Blue and silver, I've seen a good number around the crag if you take popularity as an endorsement. |

The eversprout one I have seems very robust. It was like 30$ of Amazon. I used to have a golf ball retriever pole that could extent to 30feet but it feel down a crack (rip). |

A Wooster surelock painters pole. You can get them from various paint shops. I know Kelly Moore sells them. They are super rigid when extended. Meant to hold a heavy paint soaked nap to apply paint, so it will easily support a stick clip, draw and rope. They come in various extendable lengths up to at least 16 feet. They are also super tough and almost impossible to break. I’ve got one that rode around in a work truck and was used almost daily for 20 years. Still works great. And doubles as a walking stick strong enough to pole vault over small creaks and streams. They retail from between 15 to about 40 bucks depending on what size. |

The Wooster is by far the best one for actual painting so there's that. |
