Anyone been on the west ridge yet this season or been in the area? Trying to figure out if a trip this weekend is feasible.

Everywhere except in the enchantments, apparently

Thanks for the info, maybe best to wait a bit before making the drive from Seattle then.

Lol pretty sure it’s a reference to this and not actual beta: mountainproject.com/forum/t…

You might look for Skiing reports (tay etc).  I'm confident there is a lot of snow back there, both on the approach and the climb/descent.  However, the amount of snow on the part of the ridge that you climb could be in question.      You might try to figure out how often it has gotten above freezing back there so far this year - certainly doesn't look very warm this weekend: https://www.mountain-forecast.com/peaks/Prusik-Peak/forecasts/2395

If I was going to try to do Prussik this weekend I would be prepared a lot of cold snow and ice.  Seems like better conditions for a snow climb back there or a through-ski right now..

I definitely thought that was a cheeky way of saying the rap stations were covered in snow or something to that effect, but now I get the reference lol

Nah I ended up at the Tieton River crags, if anyone gets out there I’d still love to hear about conditions though. I saw a tick for the west ridge dated April 4th of this year but there was no word on conditions.

Not a ton to add but I was cragging up Icicle this weekend and it looked like the enchantments had quite a bit of snow in them still.  Not sure about Prusik itself but I did see someone loading up a pack and back country ski setup at Snow Lakes TH.

Skied past it this weekend. I personally wouldn't go through the long approach to climb it right now. There's lot of better things to climb in the vicinity.

I would say now would be ideal!  You get to kick steps straight up Asgard, skin straight over to Prusik, climb it with no one around, simple skin back to Asgard, ski Asgard in like 10 minutes, then ski back to the trailhead in 1/4 of the time it takes to hike.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
