cathedral ledge rd?

Anyone know if the road to the top of cathedral is currently open? 

Was closed at the trailhead for tree removal and what I heard was possibly making the road wider. DOT left at around 3-4 Friday afternoon when I got there but left the signs up for the weekend making it an absolute clusterfuck to turn around as there was no prior warning. Not sure why they didn’t just open it up to the metal gate for the weekend seems how they weren’t doing any work during the weekend

The metal gate right? I was only stating there were barricades blocking the entrance further back by the first kiosk last weekend 

The barricades are still in place for tree work on the lower section of the road up to the Northend turnaround. They should be removed some time soon.

As I understand, the metal gate to the top may or may not open this season... Personally, I'd like to see it stay closed. The walk/ride is much more peaceful without cars.

From an accessibilty perspective, I'd like to see the gate open. There aren't many places in the whites for people with physical/etc limitations that make it difficult to hike, a chance for a view and experience like cathedral.

Gate was open as of today 5/4/21.

Yes, basically all routes from the cave to just around diedre.  There are signs out there where it is closed.

Typically, Diedre is included in the closure. 

Yea, I think the closure includes didedre.  The birds are incubating eggs right around that route.
