Getting married the 9th of October! The future wife and I were wanting to head to Thailand for about 10 days to do some climbing(both experienced climbers) and other adventure activities. We were looking to stay in Krabi, unless anyone can suggest a good alternative. I was looking for some suggestions of resorts to stay in. The future wife would prefer somewhere with  a spa. I am hopping to stay somewhere close to climbing! Any advise or suggestions would be super helpful! Thank you!!!!

Check out Railay, west side has better beaches and sunsets, minutes from a lot of good climbing. Krabi is a city and you’d be forced to take a boat to and from the climbing in Railay everyday. I stayed at a more budget friendly place but Sand Sea Resort and The Second House both look nice. I liked the climbing and island vibe on Koh Phi Phi as well, might be worth considering a few days there too. Short boat ride from Krabi. Congrats and have fun!

Krabi is actually a province which has a bunch of islands and a few inland cities. Railay Beach has nice hotels where you can walk ti climbing areas. You can also take a quick boat ride, or hike about 30 minutes) to ton sai beach. I think Ton Sai was recently built up, so there might be a fancy hotel there now. Ton Sai is ground zero for rock climbing in Thailand

+1 not staying in the city of Krabi.

Ao Nang is another good option with more nightlife, restaurants and markets. and it's only a 10 min long tail boat ride to Tonsai and Railway.

Travis, my wife and I stayed at Railay Resort and Spa in west Railay for several weeks in May/June 2019. We were in a second floor unit in with trees, birds and  monkeys.  Easy walk to all climbing areas! Great pool, great sunsets... easy stroll to places to eat or just in the hotel restaurant.  I’ve stayed multiple weeks in Railay and recommend getting your guidebook there if you don’t have one to add to the climber economy. I’ve traveled to Thailand a number of times and know you’ll enjoy! PM if you have any other questions.
