I'm in search of new a book to read! Does anyone have any recommendations for story/ biographical books related to Patagonia? Recent favorites have been the Bold and the Cold, kiss or kill, and The Tower so something along those lines. Also thinking about checking out The Calling by Barry Blanchard if anyone has input on that. Thanks!

The audiobook for the Calling is great, Barry narrates it

The Calling (Blanchard) and Beyond the Mountain by Steve House are both great

And if you want to see how the hard men did Patagonia (exploration, not climbing), there's Eric Shipton's ice cap crossing (https://www.amazon.com/Land-Tempest-Travels-Patagonia-1958-1962-ebook/dp/B01CKX36RS)

Enduring Patagonia by Gregory Crouch is a good read. No climbing focused, but In Patagonia by Bruce Chatwin is one of my favorite travel books.

+1 For the tower. Read it three times in a row when I first got it.

Night Flight by Antoine de Saint-Exupery. A novel, based on his experiences as a pilot flying mail in South America, early days of aviation.

Night Naked by Erhard Loretan is one of the best climber autobiographies of all time.

The Art of Freedom by Bernadette McDonald is about Voytek Kurtyka.

Both are must reads for stoking your dreams of alpinism.

Rolo’s Patagonia guidebook is worth dreaming over for weeks.

+1 for Enduring Patagonia by Gregory Crouch. He tells rad stories and includes some sick photos.

Cool. Go get after it now.
