Epic tv

Shopped their once and upon checkout I get a pop-up with a code epic5 to get 5% off my purchase. The question is does epic tv ever email such discount codes? I got dinged on duties last time so like to balance that out with a further discount. |

They do every once in a while. Put your email in their mailing list and you should get them every now and then. They are mostly tied to special deals on certain brands or categories and times of the year. Not sure if they can be combined with other discounts though, never tried that as I haven't placed that many orders with them but the few that I did went off without a hitch. Granted, they ship from France and I live in the EU so YMMV. |

Not sure where you are, but I think if you keep the order to below $150 or $200, you don't pay import duties to the US. At least I didn't when I bought a pair of ropes in 2019. |

I also paid on Epic tv app. |

For ‘merica it’s around $800 when import costs get added so keep it under that. |

Anybody have a definitive reference on the amount above which import duties are to be paid in the US? 200 vs 800 is a big gap..... |

From the first hit on that search: https://www.cbp.gov/travel/international-visitors/kbyg/customs-duty-info "Up to $1,600 in goods will be duty-free under your personal exemption if the merchandise is from an IP. Up to $800 in goods will be duty-free if it is from a CBI or Andean country. Any additional amount, up to $1,000, in goods will be dutiable at a flat rate (3%)." |

I ordered $900 of gear from Finland to USA and was charged import duties, then ordered $700 ish next time (same seller) and paid no duties. $800 seems like the cutoff. |
