I am selling my trad rack. I'm selling it as one unit, not interested in breaking it up. Below are pictures. All of the cams are in good shape, no wonky trigger wires, and they have recently been cleaned and lubed. Here are the details: (1) .3 X4 2017 (2) .4 X4 2017 (2) .5 X4 2016 (1) .75 C4 2017 (1) .75 C4UL 2016 (1) #1 C4 2017 (1) #1 C4UL 2017 (1) #2 C4 2017 (1) #2 C4UL 2017 (1) #3 C4 2017 (1) #3 C4UL 2017 (1) #4 C4UL 2017 (1) #5 C4 2015 (10) 14mm dynex slings 2018 I'm selling the cams and slings without carabiners as you can see from the photos. Asking $975 w/ shipping included. |

$975 for used cams? I wish you luck with selling as one lot, but I think the going rate for used cams in good condition is about $40 a cam. That would put you at $600 + the value of the slings. If you’d like me to delete this comment let me know. |

I think pricing advice is a valuable part of the For Sale forums. |

OP's only post, overvalued full rack... can you say why you're not willing to split it up? |
|
Pricing advice is not only for the OP, it's for others that read the thread and may make an offer or are wondering what to price their items at. I think as long as it's respectful and reflects current actual pricing it adds to the thread. The more details the better if people are willing to put the time into it. e.g. Large cams sell for about $60 each. Cams up to a #2 sell for about $40. C4 ULs sell for $? A large lot is typically discounted 20% or more because people may not want the exact set you've bought. |

Only one shipping cost and one trip to the post office. I'm open to adjusting the price, $40/X4 and C4 and $60 for the larger cams and ULs, plus $60 for unused slings. That comes to $840 plus shipping. |

you calling mp social media hurts my soul, thanks for adjusting the price |

Completely disagree, M Applequist, with the notion that sellers should be able to delete responses. Not only would that go against the long history of people gently flaming ludicrous asks, but it would upset the balance of the market here. I get it - you just tried to sell a rack for probably a little too much, given that they weren’t a well known brand. But I’m guessing you ended up getting close to asking, despite a few comments. But having watched this forum for almost 10 years, the amount of yahoos who ask for retail minus 10% because “I didn’t even use them!” Is out of control. Sure, you could extrapolate from the lack of sales, but buyer feedback that is public helps create a reasonable market If a seller could delete comments, it would also put newer buyers in a bad spot. I frequently see people saying “those cams/biners/screws/pons are shot. Don’t buy them”. Someone seeing a good price on bad gear might go for it if they don’t know better. And I don’t believe in “it’s the buyers fault for not knowing!” Don’t sell shit gear. Retire it. Comments keep sellers honest, keep the shit sellers off the forum, and create a reasonable price for used gear. Thanks for coming to my Ted talk, etc. |
