Hey All,

The mountains are finally getting covered with snow and it looks like time to wax the skis and rip out the skins. I’m looking for backcountry ski partners in the Eastern Sierra. I’m based out of Bishop but am willing to travel a bit to find the best and/or safest snow. This is my 3rd year backcountry skiing, coming from a finicky Colorado snowpack I’m pretty conservative mid-winter, but I really like to ski peaks and couloirs in the Spring. I’ve got weekends off and can take the occasional Monday or Friday as well. Hit me up if ya wanna get out, 319-651-2949!

Hey Blaine,

My girlfriend and I moved to Mammoth a few months ago and are looking for backcountry ski partners. This is our 4th season backcountry skiing and have been resort skiing for much longer. We'll definitely be looking to ski many of the eastside classics once coverage and stability allow. For now, it looks like low angle pow skiing is in our near future! Let me know if you want to link up sometime.

Cheers,

Josh

Based in Socal, but with no new snow in sight, looking for more partners with similar objectives in  mind in the Sierras. Been getting out there the last couple weekends. AIARE 1 cert. 2nd year touring.

I'll be in the area this coming weekend, Feb 27/28. Took AIARE 1 in tahoe in 2019 and this has been my third season touring. Looking for touring partners to check out the fantastic terrain in the eastern sierras! 408-341-9335

Hi everyone,  Anyone want to go chase some spring corn snow this coming Friday (3/5)?  If yes, send me a DM.

Hey all,

I am headed up to bishop/mammoth area Tuesday to spend the next three weeks skiing and climbing in the east Sierras. Looking for l partners for both sports. I am not working this month so I plan on being outside every day as possible (weekdays and weekends are both a go). This is my sixth season backcountry skiing and I just completed aiare 2. I also have a double rack for moderate trad climbing on days off from skiing, as well as a small ice screw rack. Hoping to start leading on ice by the end of the season.  Hit me up if you’re interested in climbing or skiing! My number is 847 708-6233.

Cheers,
-Adam

Hey all, anyone interested in skiing this Friday or over the weekend? Mammoth is forecasted to get some more snow Friday so hoping for another weekend of good powder.

Hi Blaine, and all, I’m driving down 395 this weekend and would like to spend Sunday on a moderate ski tour. Looking for partners. So many options down there, the furthest south I’ve skied is Dana, recommendations appreciated. Been doing BC for 20 years, have AIARE level 2 and WFA. 530-523-3384

Yo yo! I'm looking for a ski partner for a day or two this Friday through Sunday who would be psyched on a big objective and is ideally fit. I have my AIARE 2 and have skied a bunch on the east side. Also could be down to climb. 914 479-7931. Cheers, Tyler

Hi Jon,

I am heading to the Mammoth area next Sunday through Wednesday and am considering a backcountry day in between skiing at Mammoth.  I have backcountry skied most of my life, but have lost all of my Mammoth backcountry ski buddies as they have all moved up north.  I am rusty as I have not skied since 2020.  I would be interested in a mellow ski tour to get back into the flow and am looking for one or more experienced backcountry skier to connect with.  I can be emailed at Kent1Epperson@gmail.com if this is also in your flow.

Hey all, reviving this thread - i'll be in mammoth for a month starting end of Feb. I'm looking for a backcountry ski parter. I've taken avy 1 and have ~3 seasons of moderate backcountry experience. Not looking to do big lines, mostly moderate terrain with reasonable risk tolerance. (skied side country off the resort, around lake mary, mammoth to june ski traverse overnight. etc).

I go up to the Sierras from LA as often as possible with some friends to primarily tour. Its a pretty sketchy snowpack right now, but if/when its more stable I'll be up there. DM if interested.

Hey Kristen!

I'm in Bishop till the end of March and am looking to ski tour in low risk terrain this upcoming weekend if it snows. I've taken avy 1 and have three seasons of ski touring experience in the Wasatch. Let me know if you want to get out together and we can discuss!

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
