Boot Fit Question - La Sportiva Nepal Evo GTX vs Nepal Cube GTX?

I ordered a pair of 43 Nepal Evo GTX (older model) and upon trying them on, even with a thick double sock my heels would come up when I was standing on my toes on the edge of a step or walking around. I am wondering about how to downsize for a pair that I won't have to return to La Sportiva? Any help?

For a better idea of my foot size - I am a 41 in the La Sportiva Solution (pretty snug), 41 in Tarantulace, and wear a 42 in the TX4. I have a narrow foot without much volume. Would a 42 in either of these boots suffice? Or should I consider a 41.5 or something? I'd appreciate any help!

I have a similar profile foot to yours and I couldn't get the nepal last to work for my no matter what i tried. I got terrible blisters every time I wore them. I would recommend trying the trango last or a different brand.

I wear a 42.5 in TX2s and 42 in my Nepal Evos. I use the tongue inserts that came with the Evos. I wear a single pair of smartwool mountaineering socks with the Evos. YMMV.

Is there some type of boot fit guide out there? It would be handy.

The Tango is a lower volume boot. You could also try to move the tongue insert for a better fit and we thicker insoles.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
