What are your guys' favorite cheap stiff climbing shoes? I have some big toe injuries/ arthritis mainly due to wearing my cheap flimsy gym shoes (aka cheapest pair I could find because who needs nice shoes in the gym) that don't support well enough. It's worth paying more money to keep my feet in good shape, but I'm sure there are some good pairs of stiff shoes below a hundred bucks. Let me know your favorites!

P.S. I already own expensive shoes. "ls solution" is not an appropriate answer because I don't need to be cruzing gym laps in a near $200 shoe. Let's limit this to favorite CHEAP stiff shoes please

Mad Rock Drifters are an option. I've also been able to find a couple pairs of BD Aspects for pretty cheap, but I'm not sure how easy that'll be

The updated Mad Rock Phoenix is quite stiff and well made.

Best way to get cheap/good shoes for the gym is to resole, wait for sales and buy used.

I though Evolv Nighthawks had decent support, but, as you know, your experience may vary. The are leather upper laces ups, MSRP of 80.

Just buy whatever is discontinued and on sale. You can usually find a decent pair of shoes on Sierra Trading Post for around 45 to 75 bucks depending. And bonus because they are expensive shoes that are sold cheap and not just cheap shoes. So you might actually be able to climb something decent in them.

The evolv nighthawks are actually what I have right now. They are pretty flimsy imo. Sad though because they are super comfy

Ya for sure. I forgot about Sierra trading post ill have to go check them out! Sadly though all the discontinued shoes I see don't usually have sizes 41+ :(

Five ten Verdons if you can find them in your size still. I got a pair from Sierra for $45.
