iPhone app crashes while trying to download areas or area updates

The app keeps crashing while downloading areas or area updates. Still doing it after deleting and reinstalling the app.

1. What areas are you trying to install / update that are causing the crash?  

2. What version of the app do you have installed?

3. What type of device and model are you using?

4. What version of iOS do you have installed?

I can't reproduce this with my iPhone 11Pro, iOS 14, Mountain Project v4.4.3 (build 1449)

iOS 13.7

iPhone 7

California, Colorado, Nevada, New York

Short response because app crashes while typing out longer response.

What is the total storage of your device and how much is left?

32GB, 10GB available

Pressing cancel download button does not work

after redownloading again all of a sudden New York is downloaded (huh?), but nothing else

Red sync bar is there despite nothing else downloading

Downloaded again and tried to download California. Crash occurs every time downloaded reaches 100%. Still cannot cancel the download, so I’m stuck in perpetual crashing. Please fix. 

I have some ideas about what could be causing this issue.  I'll be looking in to it and see what I can come up with.  Since I cannot reproduce it, it will take some time to diagnose.  Thanks for raising the issue, I'll let you know what I find.

Just to be clear, the same thing happened to me but after I shut down the app, when I reloaded it the area was downloaded so I didn’t alert anyone. 

Doctor Drake, I understand your frustration.  I will help the best I can, but it's necessary for me to either be able to reproduce the issue or hypothesize what might be happening and try to address what I believe might be happening.  Since I can't reproduce it, it's going to take some time to hypothesize, fix, test and release an update.  Thanks for you patience.

I’ll try to add updates or other relevant things I notice. 

My phone ran out battery yesterday and today California and Nevada downloaded without the app crashing. Red sync bar is gone too.

However, a potentially related issue started two days ago and is still happening. When I am on a route page or forum thread, the page automatically “refreshes” as in it goes blank, and then reloads at the top  

Doctor Drake, can you share a video of the "auto refresh" on a route screen?

Hasn’t happened today, so maybe it resolved itself?

I am not a technologically savvy person and have no idea how to record my screen, sorry. It really was how I described: the app would be unresponsive (link didn’t work for example, page wouldn’t scroll) and then it would go all white with the black header, and then whatever page I was on would reload to the top of the page.
